The Bull Moose is a relatively new business as a restaurant and lounge having only been in full operation for about six years. Originally an old logging site, the primary building use to be the lodge for the loggers in the area. Now it has been renovated into a cozy lounge and restaurant. The outdoor patio was added recently to facilitate a relaxing afternoon viewing the amazing scenery. Some of the old lodge rooms have been converted into 3 very nice private rooms....check out some of the pictures on the lodging page.
The opportunities for activities in the area are almost endless. With Lake Umbagog so close, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and other water activities are easily accessed.
When Old Man Winter arrives, the lake remains a fun spot with snowmobiling and ice fishing. Snowmobiling is a must for folks living here or just visiting. The trails are easily accessed directly from the Bull Moose. And not to mention the foliage in the fall...awesome and breathtaking. It is only a short ride for the skiing enthusiast with Sunday River being a mere 25 miles from our facility going east, and about the same to head for the Balsams to the west.
